(MET is the metabolic equivalent of task which is just the energy cost of a physical activity)

The US Government recently did a very large study and found out 3 METs a day keeps you healthy and keeps the weight off, but 6 METs need to be burned to lose weight. (Gov't study)

I've found 6 METs every other day removes weight faster than 3 METs every day.

Calorie Calculator for iOS released

Why do you weigh what you weigh?

One day I went to bed skinny, the next I woke up fat. Well maybe not quite that fast, I'd had to go out and purchase larger jeans every six months. But not once did it occur to me that I was gaining weight. It was like I had checked out of my body or something.

It took months to lose the weight and I made a vow never to repeat that experience.

I created the BMI/BodyFat/Calorie calculator to keep my weight in line. Every morning I step on the scale. If I'm over my threshold weight I use the calculator to tell me how to take those couple of pounds back off, before they multiply.

FEATURES:
- Find out your BMI
- Find out how much of your weight is fat
- Find out how many calories you're really eating on the average day
- Get the recommended calories for your height, age, activity level and desired weight
- Find out how a few extra calories or less calories daily will change your weight
- Find out how walking, jogging or running daily can change your weight
- Find out how many days it will take to reach your goal weight
- See the date you'll reach your goal weight with the changes you are making
- Use the phone in portrait mode to enter in exact numbers with the keyboard
- Use the phone in landscape mode to enter the data with sliders and get an intuitive feel for how small changes will effect your weight
- Use US or metric settings
- Universal app, works on your iPhone, iPod or iPad.

How many calories are you really eating?

How many calories are you eating on an average day?

Yes you can count calories, if you trust what the package tells you. And if you have lots of free time to look up every single thing you ate all day long. But that's so 1900s.

Using the scientifically proven Harris Benedict Equation I can tell you how many calories you are really eating on an average day.

Don't count calories anymore. Just find out how many calories you are eating and how many you should be eating and cut your portions accordingly.

US or Metric units
